Generosity New Zealand were after translations for the Pacific language weeks. Pasifika Network is proud to have connected and supported this amazing agrency with their requirement.
Pacific Media Network
Pasifika Network supported the Pacific Media Network to invite Wellington community representatives to their community session. The event was had the greatest number of attendees of any of their 2018 community sessions nationally.
Jesus For NZ
Pasifika Network was engaged to produce 3 videos, establish a social media presence, develop a website and a media relations campaign for the “Jesus for NZ” initiative. The project involved Christians holding a rally outside NZ Parliament to urge the Speaker of the House to reinstate the name of Jesus Christ in the Parliamentary prayer
after it was removed last year. Pasifika Network was engaged 2 weeks before, reaching over 17,000 Facebook pages and generating national media coverage.
The Tausi Soifua Samoa recently hosted the Nurses Teuila Ball, where Pasifika Network had the chance to be a sponsor by designing table programmes, table numbers etc. for the formal event. We managed to capture the elegant and simple nature of the ball.
Jeremiah Tauamiti - LILIU
Liliu is a new short film written and directed by Nanai Jeremiah Tauamiti, and produced by Ngaire Fuata. Pasifika Network is very proud to have supported with the costs of post production for this important short film.
Pacific Playback Theatre
Pasifika Network is helping to establish a Pacific group that can undertake 'playback theatre' activities, examining important social issues for Pacific communities.
Funding Pacific Community Groups
Pasifika Network has supported the move to explore how the number of Pacific community accessing public grants can be increased.
Financial Capability Training
Pasifika Network drew on its extensive network of contacts to initiate a financial capability training programme for Pacific communities in Wellington.
Family Violence Prevention
Pasifika Network championed the idea of a social media-based positive messaging campaign that could be a "conversation-starter" and from that helped create the successful We Are Family campaign that was led by the Wellington Pacific Leaders' Forum
Pasifika Network were approached to help support the creation of the social movement "Gathering of the 3000" and helped build the programme from the ground-up.
Pasifika Network took on the role of commissioning an art work that is now available for local Pacific community events. The 4.5m x 3m 'shield statues' were created by local artist Mose Viliamu.
Wellington Pacific Leaders' Forum
Pasifika Network supports the Wellington Pacific Leaders' Forum by providing secreterial services, as well as Chairing the community-based 'think tank' initiative.
